Campaign Overview

Launched a strategic press push to raise expert awareness and brand visibility for Jen Ruiz as a trusted travel expert and author, supporting the successful launch and sales of her book, 12 Trips in 12 Months.

Approach

Executed an integrated communications plan focused on positioning Jen as a go-to authority in travel through national media, digital placements, podcast interviews, and broadcast TV segments. The campaign centered on sharing the book’s empowering message (how to reclaim joy and purpose through travel) while introducing Jen to new audiences as an author and savvy solo traveler. Targeted outreach emphasized conversion from media coverage to book sales, speaking inquiries, and new loyal followers.

KEY RESULTS

The target was to reach a minimum of 16 earned media features over 4 months in top-tier outlets, but I was able to secure well over that number, landing at 24 placements. Early traction included placements in travel, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship publications, with book excerpts and personal narrative angles resonating across platforms. Strategy positioned Jen as a credible expert in the travel space with growing visibility, book pre-orders, and inbound requests for speaking engagements and partnerships.
